More Than Anything Else
A Tweet for Help

Tweet, tweet. I kept on hearing the little tweet. I fallowed the sound all round the porch. Then the sound died down as if I had never heard it. My cousins and me went back to playing again. There was a crescendo of laughter. Soon we got bored of swinging on the bright blue swing set, out in the blazing sun. So I thought that my sister would let us run threw the sprinklers. So we ran up the wooden stairs, dashing in to her room, we asked her if we could run threw the sprinklers. She said “ Well you cant run threw the sprinklers with that on.” So we bolted to our rooms to go get ready. I went down stairs to my room grabbed my swim suit. Slipping my flip flops on my ticklish toes I slammed the door shut and ran up the stairs to wait for Garret. Creek! The door opened and Garret stepped out, we raced down the steps to the back yard. I felt the droplets if water on my skin running all around the yard getting little sprits of water on me. Daisy came out scampering around with us. I thought that cats didn’t like water. But all I knew was that this little spotted wonder did.
Daisy was prancing around the yard like a dog forced to were booties. When my sister turned off the sprinklers. I ran to her, she had her arms wide open with a towel. Garret and me got dried off. When I passed the two bags of coal I heard it again it was a little tweet. I ran to go and get my orange tank top on and my jean skirt on too. Then I took Crystal out to were I had heard the melancholy sound. She lifted up one of the dusty bags. We looked all round to see if it was before or after the second bag. Then she lifted up the second bag filled with lumps of coal. I look at the ground behind the coal bags. Then I stopped and stared at the poor ancient little limp body. She went to go and get a towel. Then we got it onto the reddish pink towel, we also got a small bowl of water. We called Garret to come and look at the bird. The next thing that I noticed was that it had only one leg. Then we sat there side by side watching it. We had all of the pets sitting with us watching the bird in astonishment.
